The Beauceron is an old breed of herding dog from France and is little known outside of its native country. Although originally bred for herding, it is a very versatile breed that is commonly used in a variety of fields such as Ringsport, tracking, obedience, agility and Search and Rescue, to name a few. In Canada, the Beauceron is still a rarity and often confused with a Doberman cross. It is slowly gaining in popularity, partially due to the fact that it was represented for the first time at the World Famous Westminster Kennel Club Dog Show in 2008. Throughout the pages of my website, you will find a wealth of information on some of the more important facets of the Beauceron. This, combined with some links to related websites, will assist the newcomer to the breed in gaining some insight prior to acquiring a Beauceron. It is my goal to promote the Beauceron as the very versatile working dog that it is.
